Are you tech-savvy, hands-on and eager to kickstart your IT career? Join Ashley Anderson Ltd, part of Kingswood Mobility Group, as a Junior IT Technician to support our growing business across two sites!
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive IT team, providing essential technical assistance to staff and helping to maintain reliable, day-to-day IT operations across Mercury House (Droitwich) and Grazebrook Park (Brierley Hill).
What You'll Do:
- Provide front-line IT support to staff (hardware, software, connectivity)
- Log and resolve support requests, escalating when needed
- Assist and responsible for set up and maintain users' devices (PCs, laptops, tablets, phones and peripherals)
- Assist with IT projects, system upgrades and equipment rollouts
- Support basic troubleshooting and best practice within the department
- Escalating complex issues to the Senior IT Technician when required
- Deliver friendly, professional support to ensure a positive user experience
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, * Good communication skills - personable, confident and able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- Good time management - able to balance multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly to meet IT deadlines
- Team working - ability to work closely with other junior/senior technicians
- Comfortable following instructions and asking questions when unsure
- Positive attitude and keen to learn while on the job
- Hands on, not shy to get under desks, run cables etc.
- Passion for technology and IT in general with a willingness to learn new systems, tools and technologies, * Demonstrable interest in IT and technology, either through education, apprenticeship or hands-on experience
- Basic computer hardware knowledge (PCs, laptops, monitors and printers)
- Familiarity with Windows 11 and/or macOS
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, internet connectivity)
- Awareness of IT security best practices (password policies, antivirus, data protection)
- Microsoft 365 user-level knowledge (Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel)
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
Desirable

Around 1 year of IT support experience

Experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment

Familiarity with Windows Server

Experience with OS updates, patches and restart procedures

Basic Microsoft 365 administration (user creation, Exchange administration etc.)

Experience configuring laptops and desktops in a business environment

Relevant IT qualification or completed apprenticeship, * Do you have experience providing IT support ?
