What you'll do as the System Engineer for Office Automation

You work in the System Management Team within Office Automation - a department of 23 IT professionals spanning Service Desk, System Management, and Access. You ensure a dependable backbone for our internal IT environment: from onboarding new colleagues to executing impactful enterprise infrastructure projects. The Service Desk handles first-line questions, but escalates to you when the technical complexity exceeds their knowledge. As a System Engineer, you're the link between daily support and strategic innovation. You optimize the environment (Active Directory, telephony, VDI, M365) and work on transformation projects, such as migrating servers to Azure and implementing Azure Virtual Desktop. You're responsible for the technical stability and continuous evolution of our workplace infrastructure. And for solving every complex puzzle that requires your input and expertise!

Why you can make a difference

You're an experienced engineer who knows Windows and VMware environments inside out. You feel at home in the Windows Server ecosystem, including Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS. Virtualization holds no secrets for you - whether it's VMware vSphere or desktop virtualization with VMware Horizon. Your expertise spans enterprise storage solutions to network infrastructure. Experience with modern cloud technology, including Azure, Infrastructure as Code, and Microsoft 365 is a plus, as is knowledge of EntraID and Intune. But most importantly, you're a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and actively contributes to the team's development and the environment we support. That combination of deep technical skills and team focus makes the difference between a reactive and proactive IT department.
