Job description

Data integrations sit at the centre of Queen Mary's application landscape. They move critical information between systems such as SITS, Salesforce, Moodle, finance and HR platforms. When data flows cleanly, the University runs smoothly. When it does not, the impact is immediate and visible.

This role is focused on improving & troubleshooting the data within those integrations.

The Integrations Analyst will work within our ITS integration team, with responsibility for analysing and troubleshooting data flowing between source and target systems on our Boomi integration platform.

This role concentrates on understanding complex data structures, investigating mismatches, identifying root causes of data issues and resolving them.

You will:

  • Analyse source and target system databases to understand how information should map and transform.
  • Investigate integration failures, data discrepancies and reconciliation issues.
  • Support ongoing monitoring and improvement of integration reliability and data integrity., IT Services is responsible for the provision of all IT-related services to the University. The department develops new IT solutions in collaboration with colleagues from across the University, whilst also ensuring the ongoing smooth operation of existing solutions.

Requirements

You are highly analytical and comfortable working with complex datasets across multiple enterprise systems.

You may have experience developing integrations, but your strength lies in understanding data structures, interrogating databases and diagnosing where things have gone wrong.

You will bring:

  • Strong experience working with enterprise data across platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL.
  • Practical knowledge of data mapping, transformation logic and reconciliation techniques.
  • Strong problem solving skills, with a methodical approach to root cause analysis.
