Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing quality assurance procedures, conducting analyses, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as HACCP. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about quality control and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment., 1. To ensure that the Company Quality and Food Safety Systems, Policies, Procedures and Standards are followed

  1. To ensure that the appropriate assessments are carried out on raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products so as to ensure compliance with the relevant specifications and to make decisions with the Technical Manager regarding the acceptance or rejection of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products.

  2. To ensure that Factory Personal Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations are enforced.

  3. To advise and consult with all relevant parties within the business concerning safety, legality and quality issues.

  4. To provide technical support to the manufacturing operation and to assist in problem solving concerning safety, legality and quality issues throughout the site.

  5. To develop, train, implement and periodically audit the Quality & Food Safety System procedures.

These systems will include but not limited to:

  • Site Quality & Food Safety Manual,
  • Traceability
  • HACCP studies,
  • TACCP,
  • Quality & Food Safety Procedures,
  • Work Instructions,
  • Product Specifications,
  • Ingredient Specifications and forms as appropriate.
  1. To work with the technical team with regards to raw material and finished product complaints.

  2. To liaise with the Production Manager regarding the effectiveness of hygiene procedures and to advise on the preparation and improvement of hygiene schedules and cleaning instructions.

  3. To support and assist with external visits to site.

  4. To support the Pest Control activities for the site.

  5. To work with management and the site to ensure the health and safety of employees.

  6. To constantly seek and implement a continuous improvement philosophy in all areas of responsibility, to train and develop others in this philosophy where appropriate.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Report writing?, * Minimum of one years' experience in a technical role.

  • Level 2 in Food Safety
  • Level 2 HACCP
  • Internal Auditor training (Preferred)
  • Skills both verbal and written communication, negotiation, report writing and presentations.
  • Team building and Motivational Skills.
  • Knowledge of food legislation.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures, HACCP and Factory and Company Procedures, Policies and Quality Standards.
  • Understanding of quality management and manufacturing techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience of Organoleptic techniques and assessments of raw materials.
  • Working Knowledge of Word, Excel Etc.
