Job description

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who's passionate about providing excellent IT services to schools? If so, then this is a fantastic opportunity to provide 1st line IT support to a school based in Buckinghamshire on behalf of a forward-thinking, rapidly growing IT company whose head office is located in Wolverhampton., Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals

  • Set up and manage user accounts and access permissions

  • Monitor and analyse network performance, including VPN, LAN, DNS, and Firewall

  • Collaborate with team members to resolve IT issues and implement solutions

  • Document and track support tickets using our ticketing system, Freshdesk

  • Assist with software installations and updates

  • Conduct regular system maintenance tasks, such as backups and updates

  • Attending school following a daily schedule and providing hands-on IT support and advice to our customers.

This role offers a variety of experiences, and no two days are the same.

Working in schools means you will be responsible for Hardware (PCs, Laptops, Tablets, Wifi, Servers, Backup Systems, Projectors/Interactive Displays, and more), Software (Cloud platforms (Azure/Office 365/Google Workspace), School MIS Systems, Windows Server, Hyper V, VMWare and a wide range of other software), providing face to face support on issues such as Cyber Security, Data Protection, Accessibility, and documenting and tracking support tickets using our ticketing system, Freshdesk., PLEASE NOTE: Although our office is based in Wolverhampton, this role is based in school/s. Therefore, you will not be expected to travel to our Wolverhampton office to carry out your routine duties. However, there will be occasions where you will be required to attend the office. This may include, but is not limited to, training, development and internal meetings.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in iOS?, * Relevant level 3 industry specific qualification

  • Experience with platforms such as Windows Server, Office365, Google Workspace, Windows Operating System, Android, and iOS.
  • Experience using InTune
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Proficiency in computer hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, LANs, DNS, and Firewalls
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users with technical problems in a way that respects our values and ethos
  • Resilience, flexibility and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Minimum two years of experience working in an IT support role
  • Methodical and well organised
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points and access to own vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Wiling to commute - the school based in Redhill, Surrey. Before applying please ensure you are within a one hour commutable distance to RH1
