Job description

  • Coordinate daily operations across portable sanitation, welfare, and accommodation services.
  • Support planning and scheduling of deliveries, collections, and servicing tasks.
  • Communicate with yard staff, engineers, and service teams to ensure job completion and resolve any arising issues.
  • Manage incoming calls and email enquiries relating to service and maintenance, allocating jobs and updating stakeholders.
  • Track job progress and escalate delays or complications to the rest of the Operations team as required.
  • Work closely with the Stores department to ensure parts and materials are available for scheduled works.
  • Maintain accurate records within operational systems such as Syrinx and Paperless.
  • Assist with customer booking requests, Operations Desk activities, and service call logging.
  • Monitor and update service level targets, helping ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all operations follow company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Liaise with the Accounts team regarding job costing and invoicing matters.
  • Communicate equipment availability and turnaround times with the Sales team.
  • Support compliance activities, audits, and reporting where required.
  • Promote company values and a positive working environment through professionalism and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Excellent phone etiquette with experience managing multi-line phone systems and providing customer support
  • Previous experience in operations or logistics administration, preferably in hire or construction industries.
  • Clear and effective communicator with internal teams and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling/operational software (e.g. Syrinx, Paperless).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
  • Calm and responsive under pressure with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and support multiple teams concurrently.
