Large consultancy - End Client is a Government Body

Your new role

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a high-profile government programme. The successful candidate will support the IDE team in developing and delivering functional and non-functional requirements across four core applications, ensuring they meet the scale and performance demands of the programme.

Role Responsibilities

Develop and enhance Java-based applications within the IDE programme.
Deliver functional and non-functional features across multiple core components.
Work within Agile Scrum teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Support systems administration activities for J2EE applications.
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to ensure solutions align with technical standards.
Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

What you'll need to succeed

Must have a minimum of 5 years UK residency (security requirement).
2-5 years of hands-on development experience.
Systems administration experience for J2EE applications.
Experience with:

JBoss
Jenkins
Ansible
Git
Agile Scrum
