Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our data centre facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimal performance, ensuring security, and managing technical teams., * Oversee the operation and maintenance of data centre infrastructure, including CCTV, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Ethernet networks.
- Manage network installation projects, ensuring adherence to schematics and technical specifications.
- Supervise the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of telecommunication systems such as VoIP and Avaya platforms.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment repair activities to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
- Coordinate with technical teams to perform routine equipment upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Monitor network performance and security protocols to prevent unauthorised access or system failures.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Lead training sessions for staff on equipment handling, safety procedures, and new technology implementations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, schematics, and repair logs for audit purposes.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations within the data centre environment.
Requirements
