Job description
Join the Electrical Engineering - Integration & Software Excellence - SUMS team as the Configuration Engineer where you'll support the delivery of the EE Baselines for all current & future projects. Reporting into the Functional Manager - SUMS, your main responsibilities include:
- Supporting the planning of each Bentley Integration level to allow the successful delivery of all vehicle projects in a timely manner in relation to the required Electrical Engineering baselines
- Creating, checking and releasing the Electrical Engineering baseline content for R&D, Product & Aftersales use with the required release levels in the toolchain to be able to build, update and maintain all Bentley vehicles
- Attending the Integration Change Control Board in relation to Baseline VCRs
About the Team
Electrical Integration & Software Excellence (SUMS) drive the planning, development and delivery of high quality, on time software releases. As electric vehicle content grows and technology continues to evolve our software becomes increasingly integrated and complex. Our team ensures that every new vehicle software release - from pre-series to full production is integrated seamlessly and managed with control precision whilst also being compliant with internal and external regulation processes.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Project management?, The successful applicant will be delivery focused with experience in the delivery of Hardware & Software along with associated configuration management for vehicle projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern vehicle architectures, networking and function in software and hardware
- Strong knowledge of vehicle production and data managements processes
- Product Emergence Process awarenesss
- Project management and planning experience
- Technical Engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience with VW Group tools such as System 42, Conbase & RXSWIN-DB desirable
