Business Intelligence Consultant - Power BI & SQL

As a Business Intelligence Consultant, you will lead and deliver Power BI projects for external customers, working across a wide range of industries. You'll be responsible for understanding client needs, designing robust data models, and producing insightful dashboards that support better decision-making.

You'll collaborate closely with our Sage 200 implementation team, helping customers extend their system with meaningful analytics and reporting., * Deliver end-to-end Power BI projects for external clients, from requirements gathering to deployment.

• Design and build Power BI dashboards, data models, and interactive reports tailored to customer needs.

• Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes to support reporting and integration.

• Work with Sage 200 and other business systems to extract, transform, and model data.

• Run workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to customers.

• Proven experience delivering BI or reporting projects in a client-facing or consultancy role.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
• Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, etc.).
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience working with Sage 200 data structures is highly desirable (but not essential).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, customer-focused mindset
