Job description

A specialist education technology provider supporting schools and Multi-Academy Trusts across the South-East is seeking an IT Support Engineer to be based on-site at a well-established secondary school in Surrey.

This organisation delivers modern, enterprise-grade IT infrastructure to the education sector and works closely with leadership teams to ensure reliable, secure and forward-thinking technology environments., You will act as the dedicated on-site IT Engineer, providing day-to-day user support while administering and maintaining the school's IT systems and network infrastructure. The schools are investing in modern technologies to support next-generation teaching, offering strong technical exposure in a progressive environment., * Provide responsive IT support to teaching and support staff

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server (2019/2022/2025) environments
  • Support Windows 11 devices and Microsoft 365 services
  • Maintain wired and wireless networks, firewalls and filtering systems
  • Troubleshoot PCs, laptops, mobile devices and AV equipment
  • Keep users informed on issue resolution and system updates

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microsoft Windows Server?, * Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills

  • Logical, methodical and calm under pressure
  • Comfortable supporting users at all technical levels
  • Professional and personable within a school setting
  • Motivated to continue learning and developing skills

Experience Required

  • Experience supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
  • Exposure to Windows Server 2019/2022 environments
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (wired, wireless, firewall basics)
  • Experience supporting end-user hardware and AV systems
  • Must live within commutable distance of Surrey-based site
  • Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance
