Job description
We're hiring on behalf of a fast-growing SaaS company that's looking for an experienced Power BI Specialist to take ownership of their reporting environment. This is a fully remote contract role, starting immediately.
The client has a strong BI foundation in place, but they're now looking for someone who can streamline reporting, reduce maintenance, and optimise their use of Power BI at scale. Right now, customer-specific reports are managed individually (eg 45+ reports needing updates when a change is made). They want to consolidate, automate, and improve efficiency across their reporting suite.
This is not a "start from scratch" build - instead, you'll be reviewing what's already in place, identifying improvements, and implementing changes to drive scalability., * Review, maintain, and optimise existing Power BI reports and DAX queries.
- Manage and integrate Power BI via APIs to streamline customer reporting.
- Consolidate multiple customer-specific reports into more efficient, scalable solutions.
- Support integration of Power BI with Fabric (experience here highly beneficial).
- Work with Azure Data Lake and wider Azure ecosystem for data sourcing and performance improvements.
- Provide best practice guidance for managing a full reporting suite in a SaaS environment.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Power BI (including DAX, query optimisation, and report management).
- Proven experience managing Power BI through APIs and driving automation.
- Background in scaling BI solutions across multiple customers/environments.
- Familiarity with Fabric (hands-on experience a big plus).
- Experience with Azure and Data Lakes.
- Someone who has managed the full life cycle of reporting suites, including integrations.
