As (Senior) Data Analyst in our Used Cars Pricing team, you will be focused on understanding and improving the pricing strategies that dictate how Tesla purchases and re-sells Pre-Owned Teslas.
Reporting directly into the EMEA Pricing Strategy manager, you will be responsible for studying and developing the necessary analysis and tools to provide the most accurate Trade-In values for our customers and the most effective and profitable B2C pricing strategies per territory.
Accuracy, profitability, predictability, speed and automation will be your key KPIs which you will constantly strive to improve.
In this role you will leverage your advanced analytics, statistical and project management skills, operational prowess, superior communication, and the ability to work with different stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- You will play a key role in defining, building, and implementing a robust pricing strategy for Tesla across EMEA, acknowledging and adapting it as necessary for each territory
- You will identify, develop, and propose further level of granularity for our pricing tool enhancing our price accuracy and enabling the differentiation of our offer
- You will be a key stakeholder in our evolution towards pricing automation, by developing in depth analysis and correlations between all internal and external factors that have an impact in the price and liaising with all necessary stakeholders for its development
- You will ensure the competitiveness of our purchase prices, diving deep into the data and constantly benchmarking our proposition to that of our competitors
- You will be in close contact with all relevant stakeholders to anticipate and prepare for any changes and trends which could potentially impact our Retail Used Car business, both when purchasing or selling Used Teslas
- You will work hand in hand with all relevant teams (BA, FP&A, Accounting, etc.) to provide full transparency and understanding of the Pre-Owned Tesla financials, being the ultimate responsible of the data and reports accuracy
- You will regularly report and inform all necessary stakeholders of the progress, changes, and outcomes of the pricing strategies
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Strong experience with SQL and Python or other data mining and analytical tools
- A very strong affinity with data and ability to solve complex problems
- Ability to find connections between data and real-world phenomena
- Experience with statistics and building models
- Ability to turn your numerical work into practical solutions
- Experience in pricing would also be preferred
- Curiosity about how things work 'under the hood'
