Senior AWS Data Engineer - REMOTE WORKING - INSIDE IR35

We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native data integration solutions supporting machine learning initiatives across the organisation. This role will focus on developing robust data pipelines and integration frameworks within AWS to enable model development, deployment, and production-grade ML workloads.

The successful candidate will work closely with data science, architecture, platform engineering, and product teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant data solutions., * Design and develop scalable AWS-based data pipelines using AWS Glue (ETL and streaming jobs).

• Build and integrate ML workflows using AWS SageMaker, including feature processing and model integration.
• Implement event-driven data pipelines using Kafka or AWS EventBridge.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native, microservices-based architectures with strong API integration capabilities.
• Deliver ETL solutions leveraging AWS services and relational databases such as Oracle, with strong SQL competency.
• Work with NoSQL technologies, including DynamoDB, to support high-performance and distributed workloads.
• Build custom orchestration and scheduling solutions for complex data processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data engineering and ML platform capabilities.
• Contribute to the evolution of next-generation, machine learning-driven data capabilities within the organisation.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue (batch and streaming ETL jobs).
• Proven experience with AWS SageMaker for feature engineering and model integration.
• Experience implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka or AWS EventBridge.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API integration.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE frameworks.
• Strong database experience, including Oracle and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience building scalable, cloud-native data engineering solutions on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
• Experience developing custom orchestration and scheduling solutions for data pipelines.
