Job description

Join Close Brothers Retail Data Governance Team where you will assist with data governance strategy, policies, and procedures across the Retail division (Motor Finance, Premium Finance & Savings) ensuring effective data management and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also maintain the data governance framework across Retail supporting data quality, data lineage, and data controls., General Data Governance

  • Implement the Retail Data Governance operating model defining the most efficient and effective way of working across the Retail division and the wider bank
  • Identify and engage with Data Owners and Data Stewards across Retail, outlining responsibilities and maintaining a Data Ownership register.
  • Attend the monthly Retail Data Governance forum and act as co-chair alongside the Data Governance Manager

Projects & Regulatory

  • Assist with delivery and ongoing reporting cycles under Product Sales Data (PSD)
  • Support remediation activity for regulatory projects
  • Identify key issues areas across Retail that require action and support owners across remediation plans and resolution

Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Tableau?, * The ability to understand, create and maintain meta-data

  • The ability to clearly document data requirements for regulatory reporting using critical data elements for mapping sources, uses, definitions and supporting meta-data
  • Experience in defining data controls and validation
  • Experience on regulatory / bureau data submission processes
  • Experience of data analytics, profiling and cleansing
  • Experience creating DQ Dashboards and data visualisation
  • Experience of conducting root cause analysis & remediation planning
  • The ability to lead and manage data governance projects and initiatives.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Created interactive dashboards using Tableau
  • The ability to configure Informatica IDQ, Analyst and Meta Manager products to validate data to definition
  • Experience with data lineage tools and technologies
  • The ability to use tooling to expose and document lineage using BCBS 239 principles
  • Experience of logical data modelling, data warehouse concepts and designs
  • Knowledge of Informatica and/or SSIS
  • Knowledge of Irish CCR requirements or other jurisdiction bureau reporting
