Job description

As the sole owner of corporate IT, you will be responsible for continuity, security, optimisation, and transformation across all internal systems and services. You will combine technical depth with governance oversight, ensuring IT processes, controls, and infrastructure fully support business objectives., * Full end-to-end ownership of corporate IT operations (cloud, infrastructure, frontline support)

  • Administration and optimisation of multi-tenant Microsoft Azure environments
  • Management of Microsoft 365, Windows Server (2016+), Active Directory / Entra ID, and hybrid environments
  • Oversight of a UK offsite data centre
  • Leadership of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and testing
  • Maintenance and enhancement of ISO 27001 security posture
  • Acting as the senior technical escalation point
  • Driving ITIL-aligned incident, change, asset, and identity management processes
  • Leading vulnerability management, patching, and security awareness initiatives
  • Managing third-party vendors and managed service providers
  • Owning documentation, governance, and compliance controls
  • Supporting business transformation initiatives
  • Monitoring performance and capacity across IT systems

This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in senior IT operations, infrastructure, or IT security role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Experience with enterprise networking (VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, port security)
  • Proven Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning experience
  • Solid understanding of ISO 27001, GDPR, and regulated environments
  • ITIL-based incident and change management expertise
  • Vendor and managed service provider oversight
  • Strong troubleshooting capability with end-user and infrastructure issues
  • Experience supporting SaaS / PaaS / IaaS platforms
  • Knowledge of secure development practices and system integration (desirable)
