Job description

National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) sits at the centre of the UK's energy system. Our network keeps the country moving-powering homes, supporting industry, and delivering the electricity that enables daily life. To do this safely and reliably, our systems must constantly evolve, adapt, and improve.

Our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems are vital to the real-time operation of the transmission network. They provide essential visibility of asset conditions and ensure that safety, security, and operational standards are consistently upheld.

As an Assistant Change Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting changes to NGET network assets and SCADA solutions. You'll help gather information, support planning activities, streamline tools and data access, and ensure all change activities are delivered safely and effectively.

What you'll be doing Supporting the delivery of project and change management activities for NGET SCADA, network planning, and interfacing systems

  • . Working closely with stakeholders and Customer Engagement teams to coordinate all changes affecting the SCADA system, ensuring information is accurate and complete
  • . Managing Data Set Switch and commit activities, including approval processes across all stakeholders and customers
  • . Assisting with work pack management, quality assurance steps (QAS), and ensuring delivery aligns with the overall plan
  • . Tracking system changes and linking them to discrepancy resolution activities
  • . Supporting updates to policies, procedures, and related documentation
  • .

This role is based at our office in Warwick, (or our new site at Hams Hall from 2028), and there will be some scope for working from home.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Change management?, A solid understanding of project and change management principles, with a focus on driving process efficiency

  • . Confident stakeholder management and customer engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • . An interest in the electricity industry - experience with SCADA or SCADA change processes is beneficial, but not essential, as full training will be provided
  • . Experience integrating change into day-to-day business operations, ensuring smooth and sustainable adoption
