Job description
Based within the Digital Workplace team, the Microsoft 365 Support Engineer play a pivotal role in supporting the University's suite of collaboration and productivity platforms, ensuring they meet organisational needs; support staff and student productivity; and remain at the forefront of technological innovation. They will provide second and third-line support for the University's Microsoft 365 (M365) platform and other associated collaboration services, ensuring they are reliable and secure., In addition, the postholder will contribute to knowledge transfer, documentation and the upskilling of first-line support teams to improve service resilience and user experience. The role will also support selected legacy systems during transition periods and play a supporting role in projects to modernise, decommission or migrate these systems into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SharePoint?, * Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 in a large or complex organisation.
- Proven experience of providing second and/or third-line technical support (for M365 products).
- Good working knowledge of Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Azure AD/Entra ID.
- Experience of automating administrative tasks using PowerShell, Power Automate or Microsoft Graph API.
- Experience supporting or transitioning from legacy IT systems.
- Experience creating technical documentation and knowledge articles.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Desirable qualifications: Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert; other relevant Microsoft Certified qualifications, ITIL Foundation
