Die Position

The Advanced Analytics for Business Insights (AABI) team, within Portfolio Strategy & Insights, solves complex healthcare challenges and improves patient outcomes by leveraging data, analytics, and AI. AABI enables Global Pharma Strategy (GPS), Medical Affairs (PDMA), Pharma International (PI), and other functions to make data-driven decisions and actions through integrated global platforms and solutions.

As a trusted advisor in AABI, you will drive measurable impact in a diverse, collaborative, and innovative team. This role reports to the Head of AABI.

The Head of Data Assets Management will lead the strategy, governance, and execution of the end-to-end data lifecycle across commercial pharma. This role is responsible for creating value from global data assets by building data products that power next-generation analytics. You will lead the transition to Agentic AI orchestration, industrializing MLOps to embed data-driven insights seamlessly into go-to-market workflows across over 90 affiliates. Responsibilities include managing data acquisition, master data management, data products, and data governance, leading with an AI/Gen AI-first mindset to drive value and efficiencies.

You will lead a diverse team focused on data management strategy, guiding data architecture, and ensuring high-quality data and services for business usage. The team stewards data needs across global functions and affiliates, collaborating closely with Roche Digital Technology (RDT) IT partners and the Global Privacy Office (GPO) for compliance. The Opportunity

  • Set the vision and strategic direction for data assets management within the commercial domain, establishing and ensuring outcomes aligned to Roche's One Pharma Strategy.
  • Define and oversee the full lifecycle strategy for Data Management, anchoring to FAIR data principles, to optimize data operations.
  • Build and operate the next-generation data management platforms required to support Agentic AI capabilities; drive the roadmap based on Data Fabric and Mesh principles.
  • Oversee the Global Commercial Data Office to enable all commercial data acquisition across global and 80+ affiliates, governed through a centralized model.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of global Master Data Management (MDM) strategies to ensure consistency, quality, and integrity of master data across systems (e.g., Customer, Product, Patient).
  • Strategize the development of data products that address business needs, such as C360, customer segmentation, resource optimization, and next best actions.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations and Roche policies, and partner with Global/Affiliate Privacy Office, Legal & Compliance to uphold standards.
  • Attract, lead, and develop highly-connected, highly-motivated, and high-performing global teams, providing guidance and career development opportunities.
