Technical Debt
Job description
You operate at executive level across engineering, infrastructure strategy, and system resilience. 10x.team connects organisations with senior technical leaders who bring deep expertise in scalability, infrastructure economics, security exposure, regulatory friction, and long-term technical debt management.
This is not sprint planning. This is not architecture review. This is technical strategy leadership.
YOUR MISSION
- Lead on complex technical challenges including distributed architecture decisions, build vs buy trade-offs, platform rewrites, security incidents, and scaling bottlenecks.
- Ensure feasibility, resilience awareness, and clear risk exposure assessment across engagements.
- Advise across contexts such as multi-cloud strategy, cloud sovereignty requirements, data residency constraints, and DevOps maturity gaps.
- Identify unrealistic scaling assumptions, ignored failure modes, and hidden operational fragility.
- Ensure strategies reflect GDPR, EU AI Act, NIS2, DORA, and European cloud sovereignty considerations.
- Collaborate asynchronously with the coordination team and client stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of senior technical leadership
- Experience scaling complex or regulated systems
- Strong expertise in architecture, cloud infrastructure, security, DevOps, or AI infrastructure
- Ability to identify second-order system risks quickly
BONUS
- Experience in regulated industries
- Cybersecurity incident leadership
- Multi-region infrastructure deployment
- Public or critical infrastructure exposure
