Requirements

This is a remote position.We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Migration Test Engineer to support ongoing data migration and transformation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across source and target systems.You will work closely with data engineers, BI developers, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth and error-free data migrations. This role requires hands-on experience in SQL-based data validation, ETL testing, and data reconciliation processes.Key responsibilities include designing and executing migration test strategies, validating transformation logic, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with data governance standards.RequirementsMinimum 4+ years of experience in software testing or QAProven experience in data migration or ETL testingStrong SQL skills (data validation, joins, aggregations, reconciliation queries)Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)Understanding of data mapping, transformation logic, and data warehousing conceptsExperience using defect tracking tools (Zoho Projects, Jira, or similar)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environmentGood documentation and reporting skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with ETL tools (Talend, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, etc.)Basic scripting knowledge (Python is an advantage)Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)Understanding of GDPR and data compliance standardsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsBenefitsFlexible part-time remote working arrangementOpportunity to work on high-impact data transformation projectsExposure to enterprise-level migration initiativesCollaborative and data-driven work environmentProfessional growth opportunities in data engineering and analyticsPerformance-based incentives (where applicable)
