About the Role

We're looking for a capable, solutions-focused Systems Support & Development Officer to join our Student Systems Team. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting and enhancing our Student Management System (SITS:Vision) and e:Vision portal - helping to streamline student administration processes and improve the experience of both students and staff across the University.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting and developing SITS:Vision and e:Vision.
  • Leading system development work from initial idea through to implementation.
  • Gathering, analysing and translating requirements into effective system solutions.
  • Developing and configuring e:Vision functionality using contentmanagement tools.
  • Maintaining system data, user access, documentation and configuration.
  • Contributing to system testing, upgrades, quality assurance and staff training.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Registry, Faculties and Professional Services.
  • Experience working with SITS:Vision or a similar student records system.
  • Strong technical skills - e.g. JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, SQL.
  • Experience developing, supporting or maintaining complex systems.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Experience of working in Higher Education.
  • Knowledge of e:Vision contentmanagement tools (e.g. SRLs, Tasking, Vistas, IPP processes).
  • Experience with system integrations or StuTalk.

This role operates on a hybrid working arrangement - typically 2 days on campus and 3 days from home. You'll be based at City Campus (Wolverhampton) with occasional travel to other campuses. Some flexibility may be required during peak periods.

If you enjoy improving systems, solving problems and shaping better experiences for students and staff, we'd love to hear from you.
