DevOps Engineer

Platform & Infrastructure Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure (on-prem, cloud, or hybrid-depending on client environment).
• Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Oversee containerisation and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

CI/CD & Automation

• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth, automated deployments.
• Improve release processes, reduce deployment risk, and increase deployment frequency.

Monitoring, Reliability & Operations

• Implement monitoring, observability, and logging solutions (ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).
• Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and system-level issues across environments.
• Participate in on-call or incident-management rotations (if required by the client).

Security & Compliance

• Embed security in all DevOps workflows ("shift-left" security).
• Support compliance with Belgian and EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., PSD2, GDPR, EBA guidelines).
• Work closely with Security and Risk teams to implement best-practice controls.

Collaboration & Culture

• Act as a bridge between development, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Promote DevOps best practices, automation culture, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Our client, a leading financial-services organization in Belgium, is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their technology and platform engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a security-first mindset, and experience working in highly regulated environments. You will help design, automate, and optimise CI/CD pipelines, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, and operational workflows that support mission-critical financial applications., * 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Strong background with Linux systems engineering and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version-control systems (Git).
• Expertise with containerisation and orchestration technologies.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of networking concepts (VPN, DNS, load balancing, firewalls).
• Fleunt in English and French or Dutch Ideally
• Solid understanding of security practices and regulatory considerations in financial services.
