Providing on site and office-based desktop support to staff/mobile users across all sites;

Provide network and server support on site and remotely to all group locations;

Deployment and maintenance of PCs, laptops, software and related equipment;

Support of in-house telephony and network systems;

Manage the purchase of site hardware and software;
-
Manage the IT training of all Gaffer group staff.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in WAN?, The Gaffer group of companies is recruiting an IT Manager. The successful candidate should have a good general understanding of business IT systems and an aptitude for troubleshooting. They will be an enthusiastic self-starter and they will be required to be confident in their ability to work both independently and as part of a team and to manage and prioritise a varied workload., 1. 3rd level diploma or degree in computer science, information systems or a related field or equivalent practical experience in the absence of educational qualifications.

Minimum of 3 years in an IT Management role or as a technical lead.

Strong knowledge and experience managing and delivering Business Intelligence from a wide range of business areas and functions.

Implementation and management of the following systems:
a) Mid-range ERP systems
b) Complex WAN/LAN/WIFI networks (sonicwall/cisco/netgear/hp)
c) Active directory domains
d) Office 365
e) Server hardware and backup systems (HP)
f) Antivirus/Spyware, spam reduction and patch management tools
g) Mobile device management - Android and IOS
h) Mobile worker solutions - VPN / Activesync

Strong knowledge and experience with Hyper-V and VMWare virtualization technologies.

Experience with Disaster Recovery planning and implementation.

Demonstrable ability to complete multiple, complex technical projects.

Ability to effectively prioritise, research problems, document, execute and manage tasks within a dynamic and fast paced group.

Experience of Windows Server and Exchange Server.

Experience of general client and server troubleshooting, both remote and onsite.

Experience in use of WAN/LAN/WIFI networks.
-
Ability to work under pressure and grow within this role.

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and ability to multitask are essential.

Access to a car and a clean driving licence.
Desirable

Linux (Centos/Debian) experience

Kerridge/Autoline or other Dealer Management System experience

Nortel BCM and Samsung phone system administration (VoIP and digital)

SharePoint administration experience

Professional IT qualifications - MCP, MCITP, MCTS, CCNA, ITIL or other best practice qualifications
