Job description
We are seeking a proactive and motivated Junior Product Owner. You will play a crucial role by assisting in managing product backlogs, prioritising features, and ensuring the development team understands the product vision. This position offers a great opportunity to grow your analytical and decision-making skills, particularly in Scrum and agile methodology, while working alongside an experienced product team.
Duties
- Stakeholder management
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand the wants and needs of the product and to assist in the delivery of their requirements.
- Intrinsic member of assigned agile squads
- Integration into development teams, leading their product development and making sure all targets and goals are reached.
- Define high quality epic and user story definitions
- Creating epics and user stories of a high quality allowing the development team to work on with little interruption.
- Backlog management
- Understanding the roadmap and product backlog and keeping them up to date.
- Prioritising features and tasks dependent on stakeholder needs.
- Ensure upkeep of documentation
- Keeping product documentation up to date and consistent with each version released.
- Developing a deep understanding of the product
- Becoming thoroughly familiar with all the features and functionalities of the product.
- Understanding the user journey and experience, this involves regularly reviewing user feedback and analytics.
- Basic understanding of the technical infrastructure and any underlying technologies used in the product.
- Promote sustainability practices to minimise the company's carbon footprint and waste
Requirements
Do you have experience in Time management?, 1) Analytical thinking
- Proficiency in analysing data and user feedback to help in informing product decisions.
- Experience utilising analytical tools to assist in the decision making.
- Strong communication
- Ability to clearly convey ideas and requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- An ability to navigate and resolve conflict within stakeholders should it occur.
- Effective Presentation Skills to showcase product updates and roadmaps.
- Time management
- Capability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable skills
- Knowledge of Scrum and Agile Methodology
- A basic understanding of Scrum and how to utilise it within a development environment.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology
- Self-learning & Problem Solving
- Aptitude for identifying issues and developing effective solutions and strategies.
- An eagerness to learn different methodologies or technologies.
