Job description
We're looking for an experienced DevOps leader to take responsibility for of our DevOps & Automation Platform Services function. You'll lead globally distributed teams, shape our tooling and CI/CD strategy, and ensure our platforms are secure, scalable and reliable. This is a high-impact role at the heart of our technology transformation.
You'll make an impact by:
- Lead DevOps engineers, Tooling Product Owners and cross-functional teams across UK & India.
- Have responsibility for the strategy and roadmap for DevOps, CI/CD, Automation and Tooling platforms.
- Oversee platform performance, availability, compliance and lifecycle management.
- Drive automation, optimisation, and adoption of best-practice DevOps engineering.
- Ensure high-quality delivery of programmes, operations, releases and CI/CD governance.
- Manage vendor performance and third-party delivery.
- Collaborate with architects, senior colleagues and portfolio teams to align tech with business needs.
- Mitigate risks, support audits and ensure adherence to security, regulatory and governance standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in DevOps engineering, tooling, automation or platform delivery.
- Experience managing geographically distributed DevOps teams.
- In depth understanding of Azure cloud and cloud-native engineering
- Excellent background in PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, cloud architecture and enterprise platforms.
- Ability to drive automation, improve processes and optimise platform performance
- Experience delivering complex, large-scale, multi-cloud or multi-tenant solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead major programmes, stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, global organisations with matrix structures
