Job description
As ECL Lead (Engagement, Change & Learning), you are accountable for shaping and executing the overarching ECL strategy across the transformation portfolio. You translate strategic business objectives into a structured, actionable roadmap that ensures organizational readiness and sustainable adoption.
In this senior leadership role, you provide both strategic direction and operational governance for the ECL function. You oversee the integrated plan, budget and resource allocation, while representing the function in senior leadership forums., * Define and own the overall ECL strategy, ensuring business goals are translated into measurable readiness and adoption plans
- Ensure strong alignment between local implementation teams (e.g. Business Implementation Squads) and the global ECL framework
- Lead and energize the global Change Agent Network, enabling local champions to successfully drive adoption on the ground
- Co-create and govern the stakeholder engagement approach in close partnership with the Communications Lead, delivering a unified and compelling transformation narrative
- Design and oversee the global learning strategy, from needs assessment through curriculum design to delivery of blended learning solutions
- Establish and manage the adoption measurement framework, including KPIs, feedback mechanisms and resistance management strategies
- Ensure alignment with other strategic initiatives (e.g. FoM, HCX), creating a cohesive and integrated transformation experience
- Partner with internal Centers of Excellence (e.g. Enterprise Learning) to embed sustainable capabilities within the organization
- Synchronize change, communication and training activities with deployment timelines and transition-to-run planning
Requirements
- University degree in Communications, Psychology, Business or a related discipline (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of experience leading the people side of large-scale, international transformations within complex matrix organizations
- Strong expertise in complex program management and dependency coordination in fast-paced, large-scale deployment environments
- Proven track record in deploying Veeva CRM and/or Adobe Marketing Automation solutions
- 5-10 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or another highly regulated industry
- At least 3 years of direct people leadership or 10+ years of matrix leadership of distributed teams
- Deep expertise in change management methodologies (e.g. Prosci) and delivery of end-to-end global change strategies for technology-driven transformations
- Solid experience in Learning & Development, including needs analysis, curriculum development and global delivery formats
- Strong background in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement within complex global programs
- Excellent organizational awareness across global functions, regions and affiliates
- Ability to integrate ECL strategy with dynamic deployment roadmaps
- Embraces the VACC mindset and new ways of working
- Willingness to travel globally (approx. 10%+)
- Fluent English required; additional languages (French, Spanish, Italian, German) are advantageous
