Web Designer

We are looking to hire a talented, enthusiastic and hard-working Web Designer. The position is perfect for an ambitious designer who would prefer to be a driving force behind innovation rather than someone who looks at a specification and follows it word for word going through the motions. Our client is a very interesting, truly international organization based in Amsterdam.

The duties of the candidates are:

• Developing the image for all aspects of the organization's online presence.

• Designing, editing, and proofreading site content

• Working closely with the technical team to maintain site standards with regard to new development.

• Creating site promotions, email newsletters, and online campaigns and any online promotional materials - banners, ads, posters.

• Graphic design and content for both web and print projects.

• At least 3 years experience of web design and content management.
• Develop animations and online layout when necessary
• Contribute to the design of the company's internal and external websites
• Maintain knowledge of various DTP, graphic design and web editing software (ads, brochures, posters, invitations, etc.).
• Proven experience in Adobe CS5 Creative Suite, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and InDesign
• Maintain contact with external parties (printers, suppliers, etc.)
• Cross-platform (PC/Mac) proficient
• Good working knowledge of Keynote presentation and MS Office for Mac applications
• Experience with HTML and industry-standard graphics applications
• Experience with third parties such as print houses and premium distributors
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to oversee projects to conclusion
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
• Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills. Ability to build strong working partnership with internal clients.
