Functieomschrijving

SAMCo Application Manager is responsible for identifying and managing the people related to application management. Application Management will contain a translation of SAMCo/SPN needs that may result from changes in IT environment, systems, business processes and corresponding organizational changes related to the application portfolio in SAMCo and SPN. This work will involve the following areas:Service managementService Management is responsible for monitoring and controlling the service as delivered by the application, to ensure that business critical targets within SAMCo and SPN are met. Also close cooperation is required with the key stakeholders in SAMCo and SPN as well as in SAMCO Service Desk and Application Development.Business Process Improvement The application manager and his team are key in ensuring that business improvements in particular in straight through processing will be optimized within the current application portfolio. This will contain all the following activities:

• Analyses business processes; * Evaluates the financial, technological and organizational factors. * Establishes requirements for the implementation of significant changes in legislation, business functions and process, organizational roles and responsibilities and scope or nature of service delivery.Change Implementation Planning and ManagementTo ensure a stable environment application change management is a key component of this role.Facilitation and InterventionUnderstand and applie the tools, techniques and theory behind leading teams and individuals through intervention. Assesses the need for and applies interventions to address participant requirements or blocks.The application manager will have a team of 9 staff and a service offshore contract (100 - 200 k Euro) to manage. The licenses of the applications are approximately 2M USD per annum.Number of business critical applications supported: 6

• Strong analytical skills * Ability to manage resources, set goals and measure performance * Strong ability to deal with competing priorities and complex issues * Structured worker with good verbal and written communication skills; * Demonstrated senior level presentation and consultation skills, good stakeholder managementThe application manager (university or similar qualification) should have at least 10 years experience in application management area. He should be customer focused to maximize Straight Through Processing within our applications. He should help his team to deliver the optimal result within the resource restrictions. An application manager with Asset Management experience will have preference.
