Job description

Provide structured administrative and coordination support to the IT Project Manager for the Student Record System (SRS) replacement and Student Study Services transformation programme. Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of a large, multi-workstream IT project within a complex university environment. Help maintain consistency, transparency, and alignment with agreed project governance processes during a period of organisational change., Take responsibility for all workstreams to ensure the upkeep of all project logs, including actions, risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. Act as main administrative support for all workstreams to coordinate the scheduling of project meetings, workshops, and governance meetings / boards. Be responsible for preparing meeting agendas, capturing minutes, and maintaining action logs, including the follow up on agreed actions with stakeholders as required. Be responsible for sharing all best practice and governance artefacts from the wider Project Management Office with all Project Managers, Change Managers and Workstream leads, including training where necessary. Be the Project support link to the wider Project Management Office to ensure any Change Requests follow the correct governance route. Support communication and coordination across project teams, suppliers, and business areas to ensure information flows effectively.

Requirements

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Project Support Officer to join our IT Department in a new role on a fixed-term basis, while the University undertakes a major project to replace its Student Record System (SRS) and transform the operating model for Student Study Services., You will bring a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Ideally, you will:
