Our team lead the way for implementing complex Voice, Network, Wireless and Security Solutions across a wide array of vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Aruba and Microsoft and technologies such as SD-WAN, SD-A, ISE, ACI, Webex, MS Teams & NextGen FWs to name but a few.
We take High Level Designs into the Low Level detail at the Post-Sale stage, then implement the solution followed by thorough testing before handing over into the relevant support or managed service teams.
We're looking for someone who not only has the technical ability and aptitude but the passion to lead our wider Technical Designers through the solution and drive to completion. Keeping the customer at the heart of everything they do. You'll need to have the ability to translate the technical and business perspectives and to lead others.
What you'll be doing

Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and translate them into clear, detailed solution designs using established design methodologies.

Lead the technical direction of projects, ensuring optimal solution design that meets customer needs and aligns with best practices.

Oversee review and validation processes for new developments and existing products, ensuring seamless integration and considering the broader impact on the product roadmap.

Drive continuous improvement in design and delivery capabilities for end-to-end technical solutions.

Manage customer solution design engagements, including creating statements of work and coordinating any third-party deliverables.

Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders by providing expert service design guidance and influencing strategic decisions.

Resolve complex solution and service challenges, lead root cause analysis, and manage escalations effectively.

Identify potential risks proactively and implement robust controls and mitigations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

You will work within a team of experienced Network Designers supporting one of the world's most recognised and successful brands.
Requirements
Professional skills

Must hold or be able to achieve SC-level Security Clearance.

Analytical thinking and designer mindset
-
Industry accreditation (e.g.: Cisco CCNP/CCIE) at professional/expert level in ICT with special focus on Service provider or Enterprise networking or equivalent experience (WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi).

Ability to interpret Customer needs, assess the full requirements, identify solutions to standard and non-standard requirements.

Experience on pre-sales activities.

Experience in creating high quality technical designs, Customer facing proposals and detailed cost models.

Good commercial acumen and knowledge of commercial & financial processes.

Experience in leading virtual teams in a global environment.

Planning and implementations across a wider range of ICT Infrastructure elements (Security, WAN optimization, Load Balancing etc.) is an advantage. Technical skills

Knowledge of MPLS, MPLS VPN solutions (both L2 & L3).

In depth knowledge of LAN technologies, such as stack, VSS, VPC, Nexus technologies

In depth technologies of WLAN in Enterprise networks, such as WLC, anchor, BYOD, FlexConnect

Thorough knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol Suite, VLSM, IP address allocation and RIPv2, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP routing protocols, Multicast protocols like PIM, SSM & IGRP

Knowledge of SD-WAN, particularly Fortinet will prove useful.

Quality of Service for both LAN & WAN environments

Technical competency should cover components such as routers, switches, routing protocols, multicast, QOS, network management platforms etc. This is not an exhaustive list but is intended to demonstrate the complexity and range of components that make up our network service Portfolio.

Skills with diagnostic tools including ability to interpret and analyse output from network management systems, router and switch diagnostics

Flexible Working This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
