The role of the TDA will be pivotal in supporting Bupa Group Functions and helping the Analytics Product Owner define and deliver future developments of the Analytics Product, ensuring our stakeholders can drive meaningful insight and deliver business value.
How you'll help us make health happen
The Technical Analyst will:
- Perform data analysis and develop python and SQL code for DOC Analytics.
- You will be used to using methodical investigation and design thinking to identify, shape and deliver value, working with the wider Product team on the most important challenges and opportunities.
- Be known for delivery. Own the end-to-end delivery of advanced a analytics solutions within the DOC Analytics Product. Focus on business value and getting things done.
- Write code in line with current best practice, be comfortable taking challenge on approach and designs, and deliver reliable solutions that our stakeholders trust.
- Work with our stakeholders to clearly define their problem(s) and translate to user stories (including the breakdown of work).
- Work with and constructively challenge the Product Manager and stakeholder requirements.
- Work in an agile manner as part of the team, using design thinking, breaking work into small increments, and building out patterns and processes that can be repeated.
- Present back to our stakeholders, demonstrating work-in-progress and articulating feedback and progress clearly.
Requirements
- Commercial experience of working with SQL and Python
- Experience developing as part of a technical delivery team is a key requirement for this role.
- Experience of version control and source management.
- Experience of the code review process, pull requests, and branch management in Git.
- Experience of developing visualisations, preferably in PowerBI.
- Data management experience. Understanding how to manage data in accordance with GDPR is important.
- Experience of delivering within agile methodologies.
- Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent standard of written and presentation skills.
- Experience of working in Jira, Azure DevOps or similar.
- Experience of collaborating with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience in support and development of integrations via API will be advantageous.
- Engineering experience in a cloud environment (preferably GCP) would be an enormous advantage but is not expected for this role.
