Job description

Lead and support the design and development of aerospace components and systems in accordance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.

Produce 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical documentation using approved CAD systems.

Perform engineering analyses (stress, tolerance, fatigue, FEA, etc.) to validate designs.

Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace standards and certification requirements (EASA/CAA/FAA as applicable).

Support design reviews, risk assessments, and technical presentations with customers and internal stakeholders.

Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management teams to ensure design-for-manufacture and on-time delivery.

Manage configuration control, change management, and engineering documentation processes.

Provide technical support during prototype, testing, qualification, and production phases.

Contribute to continuous improvement in initiatives and innovation in design methodologies and processes.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience in aerospace design engineering, ideally within landing gear systems, aerostructures, hydraulic systems, braking systems, or related mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with PLM systems and configuration management tools.
  • Working knowledge of stress analysis and validation methodologies.
  • Experience in certification processes and working with aerospace authorities is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate in an international, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to obtain necessary security clearance (if required for defense programs).
