Job description
The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and services. We are looking for someone who would demonstrate strong autonomy, ownership of small-size projects, Lean management principles, and asset management. Being able to manage a good customer relationship is also a key element (challenge requirement, offer alternatives)
On a given day, an IT Support Technicial will:
- First point of contact for technical issues; troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems; build and upgrade Windows workstations; support plotters.
- Resolve issues using diagnostic techniques to ensure minimal downtime.
- Manage Active Directory, automate with scripts, deploy packages via SCCM, and maintain VDI environments.
- Utilize ServiceNow for incident tracking, service requests, workflow automation, and maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and procedures.
- Contribute to knowledge base articles and user guides to improve support efficiency and empower end users.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
- Experience with Active Directory administration, Windows scripting, and VDI environments.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with Lean management methodologies.
- Mindset oriented to process/team improvement and information-sharing.
- Hands-on experience with Linux (configuration, bash, administration) is a plus.
- Knowledge or experience with cloud solutions (W365, AWS) would be beneficial.
