Job description
We are looking for an exceptionally motivated and experienced Avionics Hardware Technician (f/m/d) to join our special-projects rocketry team. You will work in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for excellence by creating high-performance engineering solutions while keeping prototyping and production costs at an absolute minimum. Your Tasks
- Perform all aspects of electrical and avionics work, including installation, testing, and maintenance.
- Assemble, install, and integrate electrical and avionics hardware components.
- Perform high-quality soldering of electronic components, wiring, and connectors.
- Install and modify complex harnesses within avionics shelves and panels, ensuring compliance, adhering to strict industry and company standards.
- Manufacture and document the assembly of mechatronic actuators and valves based on designs and specifications, ensuring continuous quality control throughout the process.
- Conduct thorough testing and fault diagnosis of electronic circuits down to the component level, utilizing specialized equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
- Assist the AIT team in mounting and integrating electrical harnesses, cabling equipment, and subsystems.
- Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, controlled documentation, and established processes to ensure accurate implementation.
- Assist in developing production processes for first-time production runs and support efficiency improvement initiatives in the manufacturing area.
- Identify and escalate potential blockers to the team leader, self-monitor work progress against benchmarks, and ensure on-time delivery of all tasks.
- Record work performed using the shop floor management system (ERP) and document flight hardware verification results in a clear, precise, and complete manner.
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship as electrician/electronics technician or similar discipline
- Work experience as an electrical technician ideally with electronics control systems and standard industrial sensor knowledge
- Hands-on experience in building electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies with precision and quality control
- Strong proficiency in using common test and diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other industry-standard tools
- Ability to document complex systems accurately, ensuring clarity and traceability for future reference
- Experience in aerospace sector is a big plus
- High level of problem-solving skills, independent and target-oriented way of working
- Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
