Role Overview As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for both day-to-day IT operations and actively contributing to the planning and execution of infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our IT network infrastructure. This includes the installation, integration, and expansion of network systems, supporting business-critical operations across multiple sites and data centers., * Installation & Integration: Deploy, configure, and integrate network components (LAN, WAN, WLAN) to meet organizational requirements.
- Network Expansion: Plan and implement network growth initiatives to support evolving business needs.
- Remote Administration: Provide remote management and troubleshooting for network infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Proactive Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular updates, patches, and preventive maintenance on network hardware and software.
- Data Center Support: Maintain and optimize network connectivity within SYNLAB's data centers.
- 24/7 Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve network-related issues on a 24/7 basis to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Ticket Handling: Ensure support for IT Operations by working on tickets (requests and incidents).
- Documentation: Create and maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT network administration within a global environment.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in managing enterprise-level network infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with data center networking and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a must.

- Datacenter Knowledge
o Cisco ACI Micro-Segmentation (must-have)
o Cisco switching and routing platforms
- Load balancer knowledge
- Firewall technologies:
o Fortinet Firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer
o Cisco Firepower Firewall
- Wireless platforms: Cisco Meraki / Juniper
- Microsoft Azure Networking Services o VNet, NSG, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute
- Network Access Control: o HPE / ARUBA ClearPass (Radius / 802.1x)
