Job description
As the WordPress & HubSpot Developer, you will bring consistency, ownership, and efficiency to client delivery. This role is primarily execution-focused and involves maintaining client WordPress sites, building new HubSpot websites using reusable theme systems, and ensuring clean, scalable, and high-quality development., WordPress (80% - Retainer Clients)
- Manage and maintain 14 active WordPress client websites.
- Upload blogs, update plugins, and build pages from Figma or briefs.
- Develop and customize WordPress themes, plugins, custom post types, and ACF.
- Ensure site security, backups, performance, and uptime.
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and accurately.
HubSpot CMS (20% - Project Work)
- Build new HubSpot websites using reusable themes and modules.
- Develop templates, drag-and-drop modules, and avoid hard-coded elements to preserve theme flexibility.
- Maintain design consistency and scalable structure across HubSpot projects.
Collaboration & Quality
- Execute tasks assigned in Teamwork (PM tool).
- Conduct QA, cross-browser testing, and ensure responsive design.
- Optimise websites for speed, SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and usability.
- Communicate clearly with marketers, designers, and project managers.
- Take ownership and ensure delivery with minimal rework.
Requirements
You'll work across WordPress (80%) and HubSpot CMS (20%), taking designs and briefs from the team and turning them into functional, responsive web pages. You must be able to manage multiple priorities in an agency environment with minimal supervision., * 5+ years of hands-on WordPress & HubSpot development experience.
- Proficient with core technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress (custom themes, plugins, ACF, page builders, etc.), HubSpot CMS (HubL, modules, themes, drag-and-drop areas).
- Experience with mobile responsiveness.
- Basic understanding of SEO best practices.
- Knowledgeable in website performance optimisation & debugging.
- Experience with technical documentation & clean code structure.
- Agency experience strongly preferred-ability to juggle multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities. Track record of self-managed, high-quality delivery.
- Familiarity with marketing automation and conversion optimisation.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Nice to have: Version control (Git), Tailwind, web-speed optimisation, REST, and API experience.
