Job description
Category Managers are responsible for the Go-To-Market strategy, inclusive of product needs, channels to market, product positioning, pricing, promotion, required sales tools, packaging requirements, trade shows and other marketing initiatives. They are responsible for looking at the existing product portfolio, and new ideas/innovation coming from Product Managers to determine what markets could be served by our products. Category Managers are also responsible for defining product gaps in portfolio where market gain is possible and present the gaps to Product Managers. - Provide inputs to Marketing for trade shows, promotional activities, and other programs.
- Partner with the Director Sales and Business Development to assess and evaluate new opportunities and provide analytical support as needed.
- Define, prioritize, and develop the business case for key market/customer-driven product initiatives, with a focus on Eco-Systems portfolio (including connectivity solutions)
- Work closely with Product Management on key product initiatives to ensure alignment with market/customer requirements.
- Develop strategies to manage slow-moving inventory.
- Provide input into Product Management for Portfolio Planning.
- Together with Sales and Marketing, develop the annual Promotion calendar and roll up financials into the Business Units budget.
- Revenue Growth Management - analyze market pricing and assess where margin expansion is possible, both from in-market pricing, and channel terms.
- Monitor and make recommendations to improve operational efficiencies, quality issues, warranty/servicing costs, margins, and forecasting
- Support the company's participation in trade shows and other special events

Requirements
Do you have experience in Workday?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Are you ready for what's next?, * Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field
- Experience with mobile apps, connectivity solutions, or cloud-connected products from concept to launch is a plus
- Experience in a global or regional role.
- 3-5+ Proven experience in category management, market analysis, or a similar role.
- Proven ability to drive growth through an understanding of the consumer and market, along with the development and execution of strategic plans and initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Act as a champion for the assigned market category throughout the implementation of GTM strategies.
- Demonstrated willingness to challenge the status quo and constructively drive change while fostering teamwork and core corporate values.
- Communicate effectively with different levels and functional groups within and outside the organization including Customers, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Engineering.
- Strong strategic perspective. Ability to identify consumer, customer, product, and industry trends and develop strategies to take advantage of market opportunities.
- Excel in problem solving, innovation, team participation, and self-motivation.
- Fundamental understanding of operational processes, financial planning, pricing, margins, costs, inventories, and financial statements.
Working Conditions:
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Hybrid working schedule in office environment (2-3 days in office).
