Job description
Join DLL's AI development team as a Junior Data Scientist and help build Generative AI and Machine Learning solutions that make our global financial organization smarter and more efficient. You'll work with experienced data scientists and engineers to develop models, support GenAI applications, and contribute to projects that improve compliance, reduce risk, and enhance customer and partner experiences. This is a hands-on learning role where you will grow your technical skills, gain exposure to real-world AI use cases, and support the scaling of GenAI and ML capabilities across the enterprise.
Day to day:
- Support the design, development, and evaluation of ML models for risk, compliance, sales, and operations.
- Help prepare datasets for model development through data exploration, cleaning, and feature engineering.
- Contribute to model documentation, experiment tracking, and Responsible AI practices under guidance from senior team members.
- Participate in demos, knowledge-sharing sessions, and internal AI enablement activities
- Translate technical concepts/problems to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Spark?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's in Data Science in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong Python skills and familiarity with SQL; exposure to Spark or distributed computing is a plus.
- Some hands-on experience with ML or GenAI (e.g., transformers, embeddings, retrieval, prompt engineering, boosting, bagging).
- Basic understanding of model monitoring, drift detection, data quality, and Responsible AI frameworks.
- Clear communication skills and comfort asking questions when needed.
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in Agile/SCRUM teams.
Bonus Points:
- Internship or project experience in finance, risk, or other regulated domains.
- Exposure to cloud ML tooling (Databricks, Azure ML, MLflow).
- Experience with notebooks and prototyping GenAI applications (RAG, chat-based tools, prompts).
