Job description

We are looking for a proactive and collaborative Data Issue Management Lead who will play a pivotal role in strengthening our issue management framework.

In this role, you will serve as the central point of oversight for data issues across the company-ensuring transparency, prioritization, and timely resolution. You will own and evolve our data issue management tool, guiding teams globally in adopting standardized processes while continuously enhancing the platform to meet evolving business needs.

Working closely with corporate teams, data producers, and a wide network of stakeholders, you will shape how our organization identifies, manages, and resolves data issues. Your work will directly contribute to improving data quality, operational efficiency, and our ability to make reliable data-driven decisions.

Day to day:

  • Data Issue oversight: Ensure comprehensive visibility of all data issues across the organization and drive timely resolution by coordinating with issue owners and relevant stakeholders.
  • Tool Ownership & Governance: Maintain and oversee the data issue management tool, ensuring consistent usage across all teams.
  • Onboarding & Adoption: Develop and execute a roadmap for onboarding new teams to the tool and provide necessary training and support.
  • Process Standardization: Design and implement standardized issue management processes within the tool; collaborate with teams to refine processes as needed.
  • Enhancement Management: Evaluate, prioritize, and implement new feature requests and enhancements to improve tool functionality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve tool performance, usability, and integration with other systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act also as a Global Issue Coordinator by working closely with the corporate teams and other stakeholders to prioritize issues accordingly which is then communicated to the data producers.

Requirements

The following experience/skills are essential for the job:

  • Relevant education to minimum equivalent of master's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in data operations, data governance, or product/process ownership (including tool administration).
  • Excellent communication, change and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiar with a multi-cultural and international environment.
  • Good people management and coaching skills.
  • Experience working with IT (SAFe/Scrum) and bridging the gap from business needs to functional solutions.
  • Excellent business English (both spoken and written).

The following experience/skills are nice to have:

  • Experience with tools such as SQL Server Management Studio, Databricks, Azure Storage Explorer, Purview, Informatica CDQ.
  • Knowledge and experience of Finance/Risk (BCBS239)/Asset Management.
  • Knowledge and (implementation) experience with DAMA-DMBOK.
  • Knowledge of data models.
  • Knowledge of data lineage tooling.
  • Experience with reference data management (RDM).
  • Experience with enterprise data warehouses.
  • A thorough understanding of and a strong network within the DLL organization.
  • SQL knowledge.
