Job description

We'll be upfront: We are in a period of rapid change. It's fast-moving, sometimes chaotic, and we are currently rebuilding our design culture from the ground up. We aren't looking for someone who wants to be a cog in a machine. We need a high-potential practitioner - someone who has the foundational skills but is hungry to learn how to apply them to complex, real-world SaaS problems. You'll be working on modernising legacy platforms and supporting new product releases, working in a Global Team of 15 seasoned Designers and Researchers. Speaking of that Global UX Team, we love in person workshops, have regular creative design sessions in our offices, and like to keep things as fun as possible. We do everything with a smile, if you don't have fun creating it, users won't have fun using it! We back each other up and work as one big team no matter how separate our work can feel.

The Mission Your goal is to bridge the gap between business goals and user needs. You will be hands-on across the entire design lifecycle - from the initial "why" to the final "how". You are responsible for producing the strategic deliverables (service maps, logic flows), alongside the design deliverables that the cross functional teams rely on., Executing Discovery & Delivery

  • Tactical Iteration: Take the discovery findings from our UX Researchers and turn them into rapid prototypes and wireframes.
  • Modernising Legacy: You'll tackle streams where we need to focus on helping us bring older, complex platforms up to modern, accessible standards, and in line with our new design system.
  • Evaluative Testing: Support the research team by running usability tests on your own designs, proving they work before they go to the engineering team.

Design Ops Support

  • Design System Stewardship: You will be a user of our Design System. You'll help keep our libraries organised, our Auto-layout perfect, and our documentation clear.
  • Facilitating Clarity: Support workshops and FigJam sessions. You'll be the one helping to visualise the "chaos" so the team can find a path forward.
  • Handoff Excellence: You'll ensure our engineering teams have everything they need - clean files, clear states, and consistent logic.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UX?, * Experience: 1-2 Years of a UX/Product Design internship or role. A bonus if within a SaaS organisation and/or EdTech.

  • Hyper-Organised: You find peace in a clean Figma file. You care about the details that others might miss.
  • Hungry to Learn: You see "grey areas" as an opportunity to ask questions and grow your strategic muscles.
  • Figma Pro: You have a solid grasp of Auto-layout, Components, and Prototyping.
  • Collaborative: You love working with others. You're happy to pair with a Senior to learn the "why" behind a design decision.
