Job description
We are seeking a proactive and technically adept Technical Support Engineer specialising in Monitoring & Integration to join our dynamic team in Spain. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and performance of our iGaming platform by monitoring integrations, managing system health, and providing technical support. The ideal candidate will have experience in QA or NOC engineering and a strong understanding of modern monitoring tools and cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Incident Monitoring & Response: Continuously monitor system performance and integrations, responding to alerts and incidents to ensure optimal operation and adherence to SLAs.
Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to system integrations, applications, and infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams as necessary.
Tool Utilization: Utilise and manage monitoring and ticketing tools to identify and track issues, and implement resolutions.
Basic Cloud Operations: Assist with basic operational tasks and troubleshooting for cloud-based infrastructure components on AWS.
Application Support: Provide first and second-level support for containerised applications running on Kubernetes, assisting with restarts or basic troubleshooting as directed.
Communication & Documentation: Utilise Jira, Confluence, and Slack for effective communication with users and team members, and maintain clear documentation of incidents, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Process Adherence: Follow defined procedures and workflows for incident management, escalation, and resolution.
Service Restoration: Focus on rapid identification and restoration of service impacting issues, minimizing downtime and impact on users.
Shift Work: This role requires working on a rotating shift schedule, including night shifts, to ensure continuous system monitoring and operational support.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Slack?, Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a technical support, QA, or NOC engineering role.
Linux/Unix OS Experience: 3+ years of Linux/Unix OS experience, with practical knowledge of basic Linux/Unix CLI commands.
Scripting: Experience with scripting languages for automation and tool integration (e.g., Java, Python, Bash).
Monitoring & Alerting Setup: Ability to configure and manage monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS services and managing cloud-based infrastructure.
