Job description
The Senior Solutions Engineer contributes to Sulzer's global transition toward a fully cloud first, modern workplace environment. As a member of the Workplace & Collaboration Services team, the engineer supports the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of Microsoft 365, Intune, and the broader collaboration ecosystem. The role ensures that modern management principles, standardized configurations, automation practices, and security requirements are consistently applied across all supported environments, while also contributing to the refinement of global standards and best practices.
The engineer works within a globally distributed team, supporting migration activities from legacy platforms, participating in testing and validation cycles, and driving the rollout and continuous improvement of modern workplace capabilities. With a high degree of autonomy, the engineer executes complex technical tasks, provides L3 technical support for collaboration issues, and offers valuable insights that shape the evolution of global practices. This includes cloud-based device management, compliance frameworks, collaboration services, and broader digital employee experience initiatives, all while collaborating closely with global engineering, cybersecurity, networking, and application services teams to ensure scalable and reliable solutions.
Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 support for Intune, Teams, and other cloud-based collaboration tools, ensuring quick resolution of incidents and service requests to maintain operational continuity.
- Collaborate with technical owners of SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, and other M365 services to optimize the integration and delivery of services across the platform.
- Support Azure Automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and streamline cloud-based management processes.
- Develop and maintain key technical documentation (HLDs, LLDs, SOPs) to support cloud-first workplace technologies and services.
- Ensure compliance with security, compliance, and data protection policies across all supported cloud platforms.
- Participate in change management, patching, and upgrade projects for M365 services, ensuring that systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Mentor and support local IT teams, contribute to knowledge sharing, and lead training sessions to ensure adherence to global standards and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in workflows, focusing on automation, standardization, and efficiency, while actively contributing to ongoing projects across cloud technologies.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * 8+ years of relevant experience in cloud-based identity management solutions, including hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and related platforms.
- Extensive expertise in incident and change management in enterprise environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 365, SCCM, Intune policies, and advanced Windows troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Graph API and PowerShell scripting for automation and process improvement.
- Strong experience with hybrid Exchange environments, mailbox migrations, and directory synchronization.
- In-depth experience in Microsoft Teams administration, including Enterprise Voice, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
- Microsoft Expert-level certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience with AI integrations in endpoint management and Microsoft 365 environments is a plus.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills for global collaboration and technical documentation.
