Job description

As part of the Global IT organization, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and monitoring Sulzer global network services

Key responsabilities:

  1. Network Administration & Operations:
  • Design, configure, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers).
  • Implement network segmentation, VLANs, and routing protocols for optimal performance.
  • Monitor network health, set up alerts, and proactively troubleshoot latency or connectivity issues.
  • Ensure high availability and redundancy through proper failover and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation for compliance and operational efficiency.
  1. Vulnerability Management:
  • Identify and assess network-related security vulnerabilities using industry-standard tools.
  • Prioritize remediation efforts, apply patches, and validate fixes to maintain compliance with security policies.
  • Collaborate with security teams to enforce network hardening and access control measures.
  1. Support:
  • Provide Level 2/3 support for complex network issues and escalations.
  • Take ownership of critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis. Maintain detailed troubleshooting guides and knowledge base for network operations.
  1. Project & Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead or contribute to network infrastructure projects, including upgrades and new deployments.
  • Perform testing and validation for new network implementations to ensure stability and compliance.
  • Drive automation and optimization initiatives to improve network efficiency and reduce downtime.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Disaster recovery?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 3-5 years of experience managing Global Network Services, including LAN/WAN/WiFi environments. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

  • Strong technical background in global network services, network automation, and security-driven projects (e.g., LAN/WAN segmentation).
  • Proactive, flexible, reliable, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Fluent in English
