Job description
You will be part of the project team specializing in the domain of Vessel Traffic Services (VTS). This team is responsible for all types of projects and service contracts (with SLA's) towards customers in Benelux.
In your role you are responsible for technically assisting various projects in the field of design and engineering of the IT/networking part. You will be recognized as an expert in the IT/networking domain.
You are reporting to the Project Manager, and you are located in Antwerp., * Is responsible for technical design in line with the contract, budget, regulations, safety and quality requirements.

Is contact person on technical and work process issues for all stakeholders during project execution.

Participates in internal and external project meetings when needed, advises on designs and working methods.

Is responsible for preparing all designs and project documentation such as; functional designs, CAD designs, equipment lists, manuals, handover documentation and certificates.

Informs the Project Manager on progress, issues and actions required to achieve the established KPIs in terms of time, budget, quality and safety.

Supports sales with onsite surveys, advice and information during the preparation of complex offers.

Reviews orders, calculations and supplier quotations prior to engineering for risks, quality, feasibility and compliance with regulations, escalates and adjusts when necessary.

Supports the organization in introducing new products and services with reviews, testing and advice.
Requirements
Do you have experience in vCenter?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Ability to implement, configure, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including: wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers, DHCP, VLANs, …
- Excellent computer skills with basic Hyper-V and VMware ESXi/Vcenter knowledge. Can do Installation, configuration and managing of VMware vSphere7, EsXi and VMware vCenter.
- Windows Server skills, for configuration of Windows AD, Firewall and software installation. Can do Windows OS installation and configuration, incl. Windows Active Directory, Firewall, Policies etc.
- Linux skills, for installing, configuration and maintaining of Linux Server, Fileserver, DHCP, …
- Has an affinity for technology and automation.
- Is analytical and precise.
- Works with a high sense of quality.
- Strong communication skills. Can convey technical problems to people with no technical background.
- Strong in problem solving and is solution oriented.
- Ability to research and work out (technical) issues independently.
- Team player.
- Fluent in English and Dutch, verbal and in writing.
Work Experience
- Has 5 years of experience with IT and networking.
- Ideally knows maritime technologies.
- Has an electrical/electronic background or equivalent experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree in information technology related field of study with a network engineering focus.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware (Cisco Network configuration skills CCNA level)
