Job description
Due to continued investment and operational expansion across Westcolour Group, we are seeking an IT & Cyber Security Engineer to take ownership of our IT infrastructure.
This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT systems, including network operations, Microsoft 365 administration, user access control, and overall cybersecurity posture.
You will act as the companies' site technical lead for IT matters, ensuring system uptime and full cyber compliance., IT Infrastructure & Network Management
- Maintain and monitor on-site network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues promptly to maintain service uptime.
- Support the integration of IT systems with production machinery and software.
Microsoft 365 & User Administration
- Administer and configure Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and security policies.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and device enrolment.
- Oversee license allocation and optimisation.
Cyber Security & Compliance
- Manage system security tools including endpoint protection, MFA enforcement, and identity management.
- Conduct regular vulnerability checks and patch management.
- Ensure compliance with data protection standards and support cyber-resilience initiatives.
- Maintain security logs, incident response procedures, and backup systems.
Operational & Technical Support
- Provide hands-on IT support to all departments, ensuring fast issue resolution.
- Assist with equipment setup, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Support production software, MIS, barcode systems, mailing line control interfaces, and handheld devices.
Project Work & Continuous Improvement
- Support ongoing digital transformation and infrastructure upgrades.
- Contribute to system standardisation across Westcolour Group sites.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen performance, scalability, and security.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to support non-technical users.
- Experience managing small-to-medium networks (LAN/WAN/VLAN).
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration and Intune.
- Knowledge of cyber security best practices (Zero Trust, MFA, endpoint protection, patching).
- Familiarity with backup systems, Windows Server, and cloud-managed services.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience within printing, mailing, or manufacturing environments beneficial but not essential.
- Any cybersecurity certifications (CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Microsoft SC-900/SC-200) advantageous., * IT Administration & Cyber Scurity: 3 years (required)
