Job description

  • Operate and maintain wide-format digital printers, including UV flatbed and large format inkjet systems.
  • Produce high-quality packaging prototypes across a variety of substrates and materials.
  • Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure accurate reproduction of artwork.
  • Prepare print files, adjust printer settings, and manage colour for consistent, precise output.
  • Carry out regular quality control checks for colour accuracy, resolution, and finish.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of inks, substrates, and consumables.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with printers, RIP software, and related equipment.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies, materials, and best practices in wide-format digital printing.
  • Collaborate with cross-department teams to ensure smooth workflow and on-time project delivery.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Time management?, * Minimum 2 years' proven experience as a Wide Format Digital Print Operative.

  • Hands-on experience with UV flatbed and large format inkjet printers.
  • Strong understanding of colour management, RIP software (e.g., GMG, EFI, Print Factory, or similar), and print file preparation.
  • Knowledge of packaging substrates, inks, and finishing techniques (e.g., corrugated card, SBS board, rigid plastics, metalised films).
  • close attention to detail with a commitment to print accuracy and quality control.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills - you'll be juggling multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills are good; you'll work closely with designers, production staff, and clients.

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience working in packaging, FMCG, or brand environments.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Understanding of colour standards and matching systems (Pantone, CMYK, spot colours).
  • Health & Safety awareness or equipment operation certifications.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
