Job description
Technical Support & Incident Handling
- Provide support via phone, email and web portal
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN & WLAN performance issues
- Support customer Electronic Shelf Labelling (ESL) systems
- Reproduce customer issues in the test lab
- Gather diagnostics and assist senior engineers during complex investigations
Customer & Internal Collaboration
- Join customer calls for escalated or high-profile cases (after training)
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
- Liaise with third-party suppliers during investigations
Network Operations & Change Management
- Assist with change reviews, updates and deployments
- Carry out software configuration and updates (post-training)
- Contribute to performance reviews and improvement recommendations
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Produce customer-facing and internal documentation
- Help build knowledge base articles and trouble-shooting guides
- Support internal training initiatives as your experience grows
Requirements
Do you have experience in Time management?, We're seeking a Junior Wireless Support Technician with prior experience in an IT support or technical support environment. You should have foundational knowledge of networking or wireless and a willingness to develop deeper skills in enterprise network and WLAN technologies., Essential
- Experience in a technical support, IT helpdesk, service desk, or similar environment
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, switching)
- Interest in wireless networking and enterprise infrastructure
- Strong customer-service mindset
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Logical, methodical problem-solver with attention to detail
Desirable (Not Required)
Any exposure to the following is an advantage:
- Wireless networking concepts
- Electronic Shelf Labelling (ESL) or related retail solutions
- Enterprise wireless vendors (e.g., Extreme, Ruckus, Aruba, Juniper, Siklu, Unifi, Meraki)
- Point-to-Point wireless links
- Basic scripting or config experience
Preferred Certifications (Optional)
- CompTIA Network+
- CWNA
- CCNA / RCNA, * wireless networking: 1 year (preferred)
- Point to Point Networking Solutions: 1 year (preferred)
- Technical support: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- CWNA (preferred)
- CompTIA Network+ (preferred)
- CCNA (preferred)

Location Requirement
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Newton-le-Willows, WA12 0HF, or plan to relocate.
