Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer - Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join a well-established, international technology business headquartered in Hemel Hempstead.

This role sits at the heart of a global infrastructure modernisation programme, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 transformation, hybrid cloud engineering, identity security and operational resilience.

You will act as a senior technical authority across a hybrid estate, supporting cloud adoption, strengthening cybersecurity controls and ensuring the infrastructure is scalable, secure and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

Microsoft 365 & Cloud Transformation

·Lead M365 modernisation (SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams)

·Deliver migrations from legacy file servers to cloud platforms

·Align M365 with Entra ID, Conditional Access and compliance frameworks

·Drive adoption of modern collaboration tooling

Infrastructure & Core Services

·Support hybrid infrastructure (Windows Server, virtualisation, identity, networking, storage)

·Lead Active Directory & Entra ID lifecycle management

·Oversee backup, disaster recovery and platform lifecycle planning

Operational Excellence

·Act as senior escalation point for complex incidents

·Maintain patching, monitoring and capacity management

·Ensure strong documentation and operational standards

·Extensive Windows Server and Microsoft 365 administration

·Strong Active Directory & Entra ID expertise

·Experience with identity security controls & Group Policy

·Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)

·Proven track record delivering on-prem to SharePoint Online / OneDrive migrations

Desirable:

·Experience in ISO 27001 aligned environments

·Enterprise backup and disaster recovery implementation experience
