Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex digital transformation initiatives and deliver high-impact technology solutions across our retail, wholesale, and e-commerce landscape. This is a high-visibility role at the heart of the business, bridging the gap between technical execution and commercial strategy.
Reporting directly to the Head of Delivery, you will be a driver of change, responsible for ensuring that large-scale IT programs land with tangible business value in a high-volume transaction environment., * End-to-End Delivery: Take full ownership of projects from initiation through to go-live and warranty. You will be responsible for the "how," "when," and "how much."

Stakeholder Management: Manage expectations across a diverse group of stakeholders, from depot managers to C-suite executives. You must be able to translate technical progress into commercial language.

Governance & Control: rigorous management of RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies). You will be expected to foresee roadblocks before they impact the critical path.

Budget Management: efficient tracking of project financials (GBP), ensuring delivery within approved budgets and highlighting variances early.

Vendor Management: act as the primary point of contact for third-party suppliers, ensuring they deliver to scope and quality standards.

Change Management: Work closely with the business to ensure operational readiness. In Retail/Wholesale, the technology is only half the battle; getting the business to adopt it is the rest.
Requirements
Do you have experience in REST?, * Sector Experience (Essential): You must have a proven track record in the Retail or Wholesale sector. You understand the specific pressures of trading, supply chain logistics, and high-volume transaction environments.

Experience: 7+ years in IT project management, with at least 3 years in senior leadership roles.

Certifications: PMP, Prince2, or equivalent senior project management certifications.

Delivery Focused: You are outcome oriented. You don't just tick boxes; you care about the result.

Methodology: Strong grasp of both Waterfall (Prince2) and Agile methodologies, with the pragmatism to know which tool to use for the job.

Resilience: You thrive in fast-paced environments and remain cool under pressure. You view problems as challenges to be solved, not reasons to stop.

Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You can command a room and present clearly to senior leadership.
